The Lisbon Peace choreography by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker

The Lisbon Piece is a tableau for classical ballet and percussions. Thierry De Mey, who composed some of the music, is a longtime collaborator of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's. "Thierry has the same obsession for structure as I do", she says. "He comes from the cinema and knows how to build bridges between the arts." Anne Teresa has not done much classical ballet in her work as a choreographer, even though she admires the language and trained at the Mudra school. The Lisbon Piece is a particular case in the history of Rosas. A challenge. The dancers, wearing pointe shoes, move within a soundscape generated by an instrumentarium of which Thierry De Mey has the secret (paper drums, metallic sounds, whispers...)
