World renowned choreographer Tero Saarinen was inspired by the music, dance, minimalistic aesthetics and culture of the revolutionary Shaker movement. Yet, Borrowed Light addresses community and devotion on a general level. "To me the nature of total commitment - whether religious, artistic or political - is fundamentally the same." says Saarinen.
